Rohn Custom Studio just installed a 38-foot high mural depicting saints standing six feet tall at Saint Charles Borromeo Church in Visalia, CA. It features images of devotion, including the Holy Trinity, and the Central Valley community.
Under Liturgical Designer Rolf Rohn's direction, our artists first sketched the retablo's careful details and then crafted a model prior to executing the artwork to scale. A vibrant new niche behind the tabernacle emphasizes its importance as the centerpiece of Catholic worship.
"The agriculture that's depicted in the mural is actually agriculture that is grown around here in the Valley," explained Chandler Marquez with the Diocese of Fresno. "It represents scenic places that you would see here just driving through our Valley."
The sacred art is the first of three installations to go up in the new church.
