After the disappearance of Station 13 from their priceless Stations of the Cross, Holy Family of Nazareth Catholic Church in Irving, Texas, asked Rohn Custom Studio to design and execute a replacement in time for Ash Wednesday. The church didn’t have photographs of this treasured carved wood set, original to when the parish was established in the 1960s, so we made it our mission to complete the set as faithfully as possible.
After an exhaustive search, our team was thrilled to uncover photos of the original Stations, allowing us to have the missing image custom-crafted to match the existing set. Once complete, artists Victoria Christina and Renate Rohn traveled to Irving to apply finishes to the new Station and give the entire set a revitalizing wash of color.
The completed Stations of the Cross now provide a clear and inspiring devotional path for parishioners, guiding them from image to image in prayer during Lent as they reflect on the Passion of Christ. This project demonstrates our expertise in custom Stations of the Cross creation, church art restoration, and liturgical artwork repair, ensuring both historical fidelity and vibrant devotional impact.
