This historic Catholic cathedral suffered over a million dollars in water damage from Hurricanes Rita (2005) and Ike (2008). Seven years ago, Rohn & Associates transformed the cathedral into a faithful replica of Rome’s renowned Basilica of San Clemente, one of Christianity’s oldest churches.
Today, St. Anthony Cathedral Basilica is a prominent pilgrimage and worship destination. His Holiness, Pope Benedict XVI, recognized its liturgical glory and historical significance by proclaiming it a Minor Basilica on July 11, 2006.
