Catholic Paintings Featuring the Blessed Mother and Child Available for Private Acquisition

We’ve quietly assembled a museum-worthy collection of sacred art—hand-painted religious artworks that embody deep faith and missionary devotion. Among the most compelling are the original paintings of Ortiz, an Italian missionary who spent decades serving in the remote mountains of Argentina and Peru. There, in places of great poverty and profound faith, she captured the quiet dignity of daily life, illuminated by grace.

Her earliest works—displayed along the right wall—include a striking painting completed by her own hand. Many of these devotional paintings feature the Blessed Mother and Madonna and Child, timeless Catholic art subjects that inspire prayer and reflection. As her ministry deepened, she taught local communities not only to paint what they saw but to approach their work as an act of faith. She also instructed them in crafting the carved wooden frames that now surround each canvas—offered here as part of the story but not for sale.

Over time, we have collected a significant number of these sacred paintings, including fourteen additional unpictured works. Our hope is to bring these works of faith and beauty to others, offering rare examples of Catholic mission art that combine spiritual growth with artistic expression. These paintings bear the unique imprint of Ortiz’s vision and the devoted ministry she lived in love and service to Christ.

These sacred artworks are now available for private acquisition. If you feel called to bring one into your care, to steward and honor its beauty in a sacred space—whether a home chapel, parish, or collection of religious art—we welcome serious inquiries.
