At Seton LaSalle Catholic High School in Pittsburgh, we had the privilege of collaborating with students and faculty to create a sacred space that deepens faith and fosters spiritual development. The newly dedicated Dunlap Family Blessed Sacrament Chapel now features 16 stunning stained glass windows, each depicting a saint chosen by the school community for their embodiment of the school's core values.
These saints—including Saint Joan of Arc, Saint Gianna Molla, Saint Martin de Porres, and Saint John Paul II—serve as daily inspirations for students, reflecting academic excellence, compassionate healing, servant leadership, and courageous faith.
Our team designed and oversaw the specifications of these windows, ensuring that each piece not only enhances the chapel’s beauty but also serves as an educational and spiritual tool. Crafted in Germany from fired laminated glass without leading, these windows are designed to preserve their vibrant images, standing as a lasting testament to faith.
The custom-designed Stations of the Cross depict the Passion of Christ through youthful representations of Christ and His mother, allowing students and pilgrims to connect more deeply as they walk the Stations and reflect on their prayers.
The entire process—from securing funding to design, creation, delivery, and installation—took one year, reflecting the dedication and care involved. By thoughtfully shaping sacred spaces and seamlessly integrating sacred art within Catholic schools, we create environments that inspire prayer, reflection, and a deeper connection to the Church’s teachings.
On Jan. 28, Bishop David Zubik celebrated the dedication Mass, blessing this sacred space for students, faculty, clergy, and donors.
