At Rohn & Associates, our team creates custom stained glass that serves as a powerful tool to teach and deepen the Catholic faith, connecting parishioners to the divine and enriching the worship experience. Each piece is designed with intention, blending sacred artistry and theology to tell a story and inspire reflection. In collaboration with church leadership, we craft these works to enhance the spiritual environment while serving as lasting visual reminders of a parish’s journey of faith.
A striking example of our work can be found in the custom stained glass windows for the Chapel of Reservation for the Blessed Sacrament at the Pontifical North American College in Rome, Italy. These windows were thoughtfully designed to support priestly formation, with two central panels depicting the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Sacred Heart bears the college’s motto, Firmum Est Cor Meum (“My heart is steadfast”), while the Immaculate Heart is inscribed with Vergine Immacolata, aiutateci (“Immaculate Virgin, help us”), reinforcing both devotion and spiritual guidance.
Four additional windows honor figures who exemplify faith in action: Pope John Paul II, who visited the college in 1981, with Pastores Dabo Obis (“I will give you pastors”); Mother Teresa of Calcutta, a frequent guest, with I thirst; Venerable Bishop Fulton Sheen, with Sacrificium nostrum, in Christo (“Our sacrifice in Christ”); and Venerable Father Michael McGivney, founder of the Knights of Columbus, with Tempus fugit, memento mori (“Time flies; remember death”).
This custom stained glass installation not only beautifies the chapel but also serves as a timeless reminder of the powerful legacies of faith and service that continue to inspire future generations of priests.
At the Our Lady of Guadalupe Adoration Chapel in Fargo, ND, custom stained glass in serene twilight tones brings the Last Supper to life above the altar, directly connecting worshippers to the institution of the Eucharist. Additional windows in the nave and side transepts depict key New Testament moments, including Christ’s miracles and parables, guiding the faithful through the story of salvation. Drawing on Roman iconography, the imagery complements the chapel’s Romanesque architecture and highlights the continuity of Catholic tradition.
Designed specifically for Eucharistic adoration, the windows encourage worshippers to focus on Christ’s presence in the Blessed Sacrament. The interplay of light and color leads visitors to engage with each scene thoughtfully, deepening awareness of the Eucharist, the grace of the sacraments, and the living connection between the faithful and the sacred mysteries celebrated within the chapel.
The stained glass at the Incarnate Word Chapel at St. Gabriel’s Catholic School in Austin, TX, was designed to shape young minds and hearts—illuminating both the school’s teachings and the sacred mystery of the chapel dedicated to the Incarnate Word. Jeweled, leaded glass panels surrounding the entryway depict the Annunciation, with the Angel Gabriel inviting Mary to become the Mother of God, the Incarnate Word. This pivotal moment, drawn from Scripture and echoed in the ancient Angelus prayer, prepares all who enter to encounter Christ.
The tall entrance glass also features the young crucified Christ, whose presence overlays Gabriel’s joyful announcement with the foreshadowing of sorrow and sacrifice. Mary’s “yes” leads to the salvation of all, reminding worshippers that Christ’s death brings eternal life. Behind the altar, a striking 22’ x 20’ crucifixion window depicts the four Evangelists—Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John—represented as St. Jerome described in Revelation: man, lion, ox, and eagle. These winged figures appear to present the Word to all who enter, proclaiming the light of Christ through the Gospels—the inspired Word of God.
Together, this stained glass installation serves as a visual testament to Catholic teaching and the life of the Church, offering students and parishioners alike a deeper understanding of the Incarnate Word and a vivid reminder of the sacrificial love that shapes both their spiritual journey and faith formation.
The Chapel of Saints Peter and Paul in Tyler, Texas, features magnificent stained glass windows that welcome visitors with vivid storytelling and profound spiritual depth. Behind the altar, a radiant image of the Resurrected Christ is surrounded by the Four Evangelists—depicted as described in the Book of Revelation—alongside the Eucharist, the source and summit of our faith.
A striking portrayal of living water, symbolizing both salvation and baptism, flows gracefully through the design, while a procession of saints moves reverently across the nave, inviting reflection on their holy example.
The windows present a visual narrative of salvation, emphasizing the Eucharist, the sacraments, and the transformative power of the lives of the saints. They offer worshippers a tangible connection to the mysteries of the faith and a deeper engagement with the sacred stories that shape Catholic life.
At St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church in Nassau Bay, Texas, our team worked closely with the pastor to bring his vision to life through stained glass depicting the life of the Blessed Virgin Mary and the Last Supper, welcoming all who enter. Above the altar, windows feature the Holy Spirit descending amid celestial imagery inspired by nearby NASA, symbolizing God’s presence, guidance, and the infinite reach of His glory. As the sanctuary’s focal point, these panels draw worshippers’ gaze upward, connecting the wonders of creation with the mysteries celebrated in the Eucharist.
The surrounding windows tell the story of Mary’s life, the Last Supper, and the saints, each chosen to guide worshippers through the central truths of salvation. Positioned throughout the sanctuary, they highlight moments of obedience, sacrifice, and witness, showing how these holy examples prepare the faithful to encounter Christ in the Eucharist. With the Holy Spirit imagery above the altar, the windows create a layered narrative, connecting the Church’s history, the sacraments, and the ongoing work of God in the world.
At Rohn & Associates, we design stained glass and liturgical art that tells the sacred stories of Scripture, the lives of the saints, and the foundations of our faith. Each installation is crafted to engage parishioners visually and spiritually, guiding them to encounter Christ’s presence, understand the teachings of the Church, and connect with the heritage of their parish.
In addition to custom commissions, our team offers a curated collection of restored stained glass from closed Catholic churches, providing parishes and schools with historic windows that bring both beauty and meaning to their spaces. Whether new or restored, each piece reinforces the parish’s identity, communicates faith visually, and deepens the connection between the community, its traditions, and the sacred environment.
