Rohn Presents Rare Mid-Century Catholic Paintings for Sale

Our Lady, Queen of the Rosary by Andras Paul Daubner

Michelangelo once said, “The true work of art is but a shadow of the divine perfection.” Nearly seventy years ago, Rohn and Associates Design Inc.’s founder, Rudolph Rohn, commissioned famed American painter Andras Paul Daubner to create a series of paintings depicting the Life of Jesus.  Rudolph handpicked Daubner, an immigrant of Hungary whose resume includes murals at St. Elizabeth Seton Shrine in Maryland and Holy Cross Hungarian Church in Michigan, because of his ability to translate his unique perspective of sacred subjects into shadows of divine perfection.

Today, Rudolph’s son Rolf Rohn has engaged Romanian-born and professionally trained artist Victoria Christina to restore this priceless set of fourteen five-foot canvas murals illustrating the Life of Jesus from birth, death and resurrection to prepare them for sale. The restoration will be performed at Rohn’s Pittsburgh studio and includes the meticulous cleaning of each painting, removal of old varnish and mounting them on canvas or Masonite to support them.  Victoria is also restoring a low relief of the Madonna with Child.

These extraordinary pieces of sacred art that inspire religious devotion in a special way are available for sale. Interested parties should contact us for more information.
